The U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) views Indonesia as a crucial partner in building a more resilient, diversified, and secure supply chain across the Indo-Pacific region, an official stated in Jakarta on Wednesday. The agency also considers Indonesia an important investment destination for both the U.S. government and private investors, particularly in the fields of infrastructure, energy, critical minerals, and digital connectivity. The DFC is the U.S. government’s development finance institution, serving as a primary pillar of the country’s economic diplomacy. Following a recent expansion of its authority by the U.S. Congress, the DFC has increased its investment capacity from $60 billion to $205 billion.
