US Continues Sharing Intelligence with Ukraine

Washington - The United States will continue to provide intelligence to Ukraine, including for attacks on Russian energy infrastructure, according to CIA Director John Ratcliffe, the Atlantic magazine reported, citing sources. Politico reported in August that the US and Ukraine had restored the previous level of intelligence sharing, which had earlier been restricted at Washington’s initiative. According to the Atlantic, the US now provides intelligence to Kyiv free of charge, including intelligence packages on targets for strikes against Russian troop positions and energy infrastructure. In March 2025, Western media reported that the US had halted intelligence sharing with Ukraine. At the same time, Washington also blocked its allies from sharing intelligence with Kyiv. The US later resumed sharing data with Ukraine. In October 2025, the Financial Times reported that US President Donald Trump had ordered government agencies to prepare to share intelligence with Ukraine that could help it launch strikes deep into Russia. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on reports of the US sharing intelligence for deep strikes into Russian territory, stressing that one can only speculate about what kind of intelligence Washington is sharing with Kyiv. He also emphasised that the use of all NATO and US infrastructure to collect and transmit intelligence to Ukraine is a given.
