US Confirms Iran Could Access Rp 5 Quadrillion if Peace Deal Reached

The United States has confirmed that Iran will be able to access fresh funds amounting to 300 billion US dollars (approximately Rp 5 quadrillion) for reconstruction costs if it agrees to comply with a peace deal. “That is funding that they can access, funded by a Gulf coalition, so long as they comply with their obligations,” Vice President J.D. Vance told CBS News on Monday (15/6/2026). Vance made the statement in response to Iran’s claim that it would receive 300 billion US dollars for reconstruction. Vance also said the US has no objection if countries in the Gulf region choose to invest in the reconstruction process in Iran, provided Tehran meets its commitments. “We are fully open to Gulf countries investing in reconstruction in Iran, provided Iran ends their nuclear programme, eliminates their enriched uranium, and is fully open to monitoring and enforcement steps that can reassure the American people that they will never have a nuclear weapon,” Vance said. Previously, Iran’s semi-official Mehr news agency cited the text of a peace memorandum of understanding between Iran and the US, which stated that America and its allies are obliged to guarantee efforts to restore Iran’s economy worth at least 300 billion US dollars.
