US Completes Strikes on Iran for 12 Consecutive Nights

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has stated it completed a new series of strikes against Iranian military targets on Wednesday night, marking the twelfth consecutive night of military aggression against Iran.

In a statement, CENTCOM confirmed that its forces completed the new strikes on Iran at 10.30 p.m. Eastern Time on 22 July. The various strikes targeted Iran’s maritime capabilities, missile and drone storage facilities, coastal surveillance posts, and air defence assets.

‘These strikes further degrade Iran’s ability to attack civilian mariners and commercial vessels,’ CENTCOM said. The command added that US forces diverted nine commercial ships and disabled one vessel in an effort to prevent ships from entering or leaving Iranian ports.

More than 50,000 US military personnel remain deployed across the Middle East region and are in a state of high alert, focused, lethal, and ready, CENTCOM stated. The fighting continues despite both sides having signed a framework agreement mediated by Pakistan in June, intended to end the war that began in February and pave the way for a lasting peace deal.
