US Bases in Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, and Iraq Targeted by Iranian Retaliatory Attacks

The Iranian military has attacked United States bases located in Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, and Iraq in retaliation for a lethal US strike on a wedding ceremony within the Islamic Republic.

“In response to these atrocities, brave fighters from the IRGC ground forces, alongside attacks on US bases in Jordan, Erbil (Iraq), and Bahrain, launched attacks today against US headquarters and command locations at Ali Al Salem base in Kuwait using missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (drones),” the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated on Wednesday.

The IRGC reported that several individuals were killed during the operation. At least five people died and more than 60 others were injured in the US attack on a wedding event in Kuhestak, Sirik, located near the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday (2/9).

The Deputy Governor of Hormozgan, Ahmad Nafisi, noted that the number of casualties from the US attack in his region has risen to 68. “The number of injured in the US military attack on a wedding in Kuhestak, Sirik, has increased to 68,” Nafisi said, as reported by the state news agency on Tuesday.

Previously, Nafisi stated that the death toll from the Kuhestak attack had reached four people.
