U.S. backs exports to RI
WASHINGTON (Reuter): The U.S. Agriculture Department Wednesday authorized US$100 million in credit guarantees for sales of U.S. farm goods to Indonesia under the Export Credit Guarantee Program (GSM-102) for fiscal year 1997.
The department said the commodities covered include wheat, oilseeds, protein meals, feed grains, pulses, barley malt, breeder livestock, poultry breeder stock, meat, cotton and rice.
In a separate release, the department also said it authorized a $10 million credit line to Indonesia under the longer-term GSM- 103 program in fiscal year 1997 to cover sales of breeder livestock.
