US Attacks Wedding Ceremony in Sirik, Iran, Leaving 4 Dead and 50 Injured

According to Al Jazeera on Wednesday (2/9/2026), four individuals, including a child, are confirmed dead following a US strike that hit a house near the town of Sirik, Iran. This information was provided by the Hormozgan provincial branch of the Iranian Red Crescent, as cited by the Fars news agency.

The Fars news agency, which is affiliated with the Revolutionary Guard, also reported that emergency response teams are still operating at the scene. This information was conveyed by the deputy governor of Hormozgan Province for security matters.

The attack—which Iranian media reports occurred during a wedding ceremony—also caused more than 50 injuries.

The local branch of the Red Crescent stated that rescue efforts are still ongoing.
