US Attacks Iran Again, IRGC Predicted to Retaliate Against American Forces in Jordan

Explosions were reported near Larak Island, Iran, located in the Strait of Hormuz on Sunday (30/08/2026), according to Iranian media reports.

The Fars news agency stated that local residents reported hearing the sounds of explosions, though the exact location and cause of the incident remain unclear.

Meanwhile, US media reported that American forces struck two Iranian missile launchers on the island after monitoring the movement of Iranian troops preparing to launch sea-mine-laden rockets towards the strait.

Larak Island is situated east of Qeshm Island within this strategically vital waterway. Administratively, the island is part of Hormozgan Province.
