US and Iran Agree Peace Deal, Netanyahu: Israel's Struggle Is Not Over!
The United States (US) and Iran have agreed to make peace, and US President Donald Trump has stated the agreement has been signed. Israeli Prime Minister (PM) Benjamin Netanyahu stressed that Israel’s struggle is not over.
Speaking directly at a press conference with Israeli journalists, Netanyahu said, "Although Israel managed to avoid the danger of destruction, our struggle is not over."
Netanyahu also addressed his current military position, asserting that Israel has taken control of the central area from which Hezbollah threatened Israel. "We destroyed the weapons of the Assad regime and we will remain in the security zone no matter what happens," Netanyahu continued in Hebrew.
Earlier, Donald Trump confirmed that the peace agreement between the United States and Iran had been signed. He stated the Strait of Hormuz would be fully open by Friday, 19 June. Trump made the announcement in Evian-Les-Bains, France, speaking in front of French President Emmanuel Macron. "The deal with Tehran has been signed," Trump said, though he did not clarify whether Iran had also signed the document. "The deal is signed, and the Strait has been partially opened," Trump added.
