Urgency of Accelerating Trade Agreements Amid Indonesia's Export Growth Squeeze from War
Bisnis.com, Jakarta — Indonesia’s export performance has grown quite sluggishly in early 2026 amid disruptions triggered by war. There are concerns that the increasingly flattening export performance in the future could affect the economy as well as Indonesia’s external resilience. Referring to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), exports as one of the GDP components based on expenditure in the first quarter of 2026 grew by only 0.9% (year-on-year). This growth continues the trend of slowing export growth since the third quarter of 2025.
