Urban transportation mode

From Koran Tempo

Although I live abroad now, I was born and bred in Jakarta and
will return to this city in two to three years' time.

Regarding the transportation services linking Jakarta and its
satellite towns of Depok, Bekasi and Tangerang, I believe that it
would be better for the governor of Jakarta to give priority to
transportation along these road networks rather than engaging in
the busway, monorail or subway project.

Transportation within Jakarta should be given second priority
in view of the limited human resources. Jakarta inter-city
transportation must be prioritized so that this can facilitate
the mobility of Jakarta residents and provide added value to
those living outside Jakarta. In this way, the population density
in Jakarta can also be reduced.
