Uproar Over Paid LPG Depot Registration List, Pertamina: It's a Hoax!

Pertamina Patra Niaga has clarified that information circulating on social media, disseminated via a video caption on the link from the account https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSHg8QpF8/, regarding registration fees for depots and sub-depots (retailers) of LPG, particularly the subsidised 3 kg LPG, is untrue or a hoax and misleading. Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Roberth MV Dumatubun, assured that the 3 kg LPG is a government-subsidised product intended specifically for underprivileged communities, with its distribution guided by government policies and targeted subsidy mechanisms. “The 3 kg LPG is a subsidised product whose distribution is regulated by the government through a quota system, so it must be ensured to reach the entitled communities,” he stated in a press release on Tuesday (14/4/2026). Roberth also advised the public to be more cautious of misleading information that demands payment in the name of Pertamina or Pertamina Patra Niaga through various communication platforms, including social media that may resemble official accounts or fake ones, such as the account link mentioned above. “We emphasise that registration to become a subsidised 3 kg LPG depot incurs no fees and is free. Information mentioning certain fees is untrue and does not originate from Pertamina or Pertamina Patra Niaga; even the account on the TikTok social media platform @pertaminagas3kg_lpg providing such information is not an official account, which attempts to resemble the company’s account and seeks to mislead the public,” Roberth explained.
