Uproar Over Coretax 'Jockeys' Charging Rp75,000-300,000 to Promise Zero Tax Return

The use of ‘jockeys’ for filing annual tax returns through the Coretax system has become a hot topic of discussion. These jockeys openly offer their services via various social media platforms, from Instagram and Threads to X, and even create their own official pages.

The prices offered vary, starting from Rp75,000 for Coretax activation and authorisation code services up to Rp300,000 for personal/employee annual SPT reporting as well as corporate income tax for companies or entrepreneurs. Beyond reporting, the jockeys promise a nil status without over or under payments.

In response, the Directorate General of Taxes has reminded the public not to use unofficial third parties or ‘jockeys’ for filing Annual Tax Notices (SPT).

Director of Outreach, Services, and Public Relations, Inge Diana Rismawati, stated that using unofficial services is highly risky and could lead to various serious consequences.

Such as NIK, NPWP, and passwords, followed by inaccuracies in reporting, for example, incorrect data entry or arbitrarily claiming ‘nil’, which could result in audits or corrections later on, and the potential misuse of data for other purposes, including fraud risks.

“It must be understood that responsibility for the contents of the SPT remains with the Taxpayer, not the assisting party,” said Inge to CNBC Indonesia on Tuesday (7/4/2026).

“Therefore, we encourage the public to utilise the official channels provided. Self-filing of SPT is essentially easy, safe, and more assured, while also protecting Taxpayers from various unnecessary risks,” Inge emphasised.
