Update on Return Traffic: Contraflow Implemented from KM 70-47 Towards Jakarta

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) together with the Police has implemented a traffic engineering measure in the form of contraflow on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road section. This policy is applied from KM 70 to KM 47 towards Jakarta starting at 08.49 WIB.

The implementation of contraflow is carried out as an effort to ease vehicle density during the return flow period of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H/2026, which is beginning to show a significant increase. The Jakarta-Cikampek toll road section becomes one of the crucial points because it is the main route for vehicles heading to the capital.

“JTT fully supports the traffic engineering policy set by the Police to ensure that vehicle flow remains optimal, especially during the return flow period which experiences an increase in vehicle volume,” said Ria, in her official statement.

In addition to the implementation of contraflow, JTT is also carrying out several supporting measures to ensure that vehicle flow remains controlled. One of them is by optimising services at the Cikampek Main Toll Gate.

On the other hand, operational officers are also on standby at several strategic points. They are tasked with regulating traffic, assisting road users, and ensuring that conditions in the field remain conducive during the return flow period.

JTT urges road users to continue to obey traffic signs and instructions from officers on the ground. In addition, drivers are also reminded to ensure the condition of their vehicles and physical condition are in prime condition so that the journey remains safe and smooth.
