Update on Fuel Prices at Pertamina, BP, and Vivo Petrol Stations as of 3 May 2026
JAKARTA – Fuel oil (BBM) prices for non-subsidised products at several public fuel filling stations (SPBU) have once again changed at the beginning of May 2026. After previously remaining relatively stable, fuel price increases are now occurring for solar products at Vivo and BP petrol stations.
Vivo petrol stations have officially raised the price of the solar fuel type, namely Diesel Primus Plus, to Rp 30,890 per litre as of 1 May 2026.
Previously, on 1 March 2026, the price of that product was still at Rp 14,610 per litre. This means there has been a surge of Rp 16,280 per litre over a two-month period.
An increase has also occurred at BP petrol stations, specifically for the BP Ultimate Diesel product, which is now priced at Rp 30,890 per litre. This price has jumped from the previous Rp 25,560 per litre.
Meanwhile, prices for other BP fuels have not changed. BP 92 remains at Rp 12,390 per litre and BP Ultimate at Rp 12,930 per litre.
On the other hand, fuel prices at Pertamina petrol stations have remained stable since the last adjustment on 18 April 2026. For the Jakarta and surrounding areas, Pertamax remains at Rp 12,300 per litre and Pertamax Green at Rp 12,900 per litre.
During that adjustment, Pertamax Turbo rose to Rp 19,400 per litre from the previous Rp 13,100 per litre. Then Dexlite increased to Rp 23,600 per litre from Rp 14,200 per litre, and Pertamina Dex rose to Rp 23,900 per litre from Rp 14,500 per litre.
Meanwhile, the supply situation at Shell petrol stations is reported to still be limited. In fact, Shell has stated that their fuel products are temporarily unavailable.
“Shell fuel oil (BBM) products are currently unavailable. We apologise for the inconvenience you are experiencing,” Shell wrote on its official page on Friday (1/5/2026).
For information, Shell’s last fuel prices as of 1 March 2026 were Shell Super at Rp 12,390 per litre and V-Power Diesel at Rp 14,620 per litre.
