Upcoming POCO X8s Spotted with Snapdragon 7 Gen 4

Jakarta (ANTARA) — POCO is reportedly preparing to debut another smartphone in its X8 series, the POCO X8s, which has recently been spotted with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip.

The device has been rumoured since late September 2026 and has increasingly appeared on certification platforms operated by authorities in countries where it is expected to launch.

Citing Gizmochina on Tuesday local time, the POCO X8s was spotted again under model number 2609CPC5FG and has received approval from Singapore’s IMDA authority.

The device had previously appeared on the European EEC and IECEE certification platforms, although those listings did not reveal its hardware specifications.

XimiTime had also reported on the device, saying that the Xiaomi handset with model number 2609CPC5FG would be launched as the POCO X8s.

The name suggests that it could sit between the standard POCO X8 and the Pro model, although its final position in the range is not yet known.

POCO has not officially acknowledged the device, but its latest appearance on Singapore’s certification website suggests that its launch may be imminent.

According to the publication, the device is intended for selected markets, including the European Economic Area, Turkey, Russia and China.

A launch in India is reportedly not planned, while the Chinese variant is said to carry the model number M583CF. The China version is likely to be sold under the REDMI brand.
