Upbit Indonesia participated in an educational roadshow held in Solo and Yogyakarta, aligning with the 2026 Bulan Literasi Kripto (Crypto Literacy Month) initiative. The collaborative effort aims to enhance public understanding of digital asset risks and potential amid a surge in young investors, according to Investortrust.

Crypto Literacy Month is an annual programme organised by the Asosiasi Blockchain Indonesia (ABI) in collaboration with regulators. Designed to expand inclusive digital ecosystem education, it targets students, communities, and the general public across various cities.

The first venue was Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) in Solo, under the theme “Gen Z & Crypto: Financial Literacy or Just Following Trends?” The forum discussed the high adoption of crypto investments among youth driven by social media information.

Panelists from diverse sectors included Shania Lebang (Government Relations at Upbit Indonesia), Teofilus Yusanto (Business Lead at Triv), Indriana (Business Development & Research Lead at Tokocrypto), and Bagas Satriadi (Director of Indonesia Coin Custodian).

The surge in investment interest highlights the challenge of maintaining rationality in financial decisions. Upbit Indonesia views this as crucial for sustaining educational initiatives.

“Today’s youth have extensive access to information, but the challenge is transforming it into comprehensive understanding. At Upbit, we see literacy as the foundation for users not just to participate, but to fully grasp the risks and potential of crypto assets,” said Resna Raniadi, CEO of Upbit Indonesia and Deputy Secretary-General of ABI, in a press release on Monday, 27 April 2026.

The company reaffirmed its commitment to not only providing market access but also collaborating with regulators and communities to deliver in-depth literacy.

In Yogyakarta, the educational series continued at Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW) with a discussion titled “Assessing Crypto 2026: Supercycle or Bearish?” The session mapped projections for the crypto market’s direction in 2026.

Competent panelists included Ludy Arlianto (OJK), Teofilus Yusanto (Business Lead Development at Triv), Pradipta Rohimone (CTO of Mobee), Indriana (Business Development & Research Lead at Tokocrypto), and Lukas Lauw (Director of CFX).

The session highlighted the maturing crypto market, which now focuses more on fundamentals and institutional adoption. However, volatility from global market dynamics and macroeconomic factors remains a concern.

Industry participants urged the public to view digital assets as part of the evolving future financial ecosystem. Understanding various market scenarios is key for investors to mitigate financial risks.

“Crypto literacy cannot be achieved by one party alone. Collaboration among all stakeholders—regulators, industry players, and communities—is essential to ensure the public is not just interested but also understands how the ecosystem functions,” said Resna.
