Unveiling the Trail of Luxury Goods of Andre "The Doctor", the Drug Kingpin with Two Bosses

Jakarta - Police have finally arrested drug kingpin Andre Fernando Tjhandra, alias Charlie or The Doctor (32), in Penang, Malaysia, on Sunday (5/4/2026). Traces of his lavish lifestyle were uncovered through various items seized from the hotel room where he was apprehended. Among the evidence secured were two mobile phones: an iPhone 17 Pro Max in blue and an iPhone 17 Air in black, as well as an OPPO Reno smartphone in metallic white. In addition, officers found a grey charger head, an Apple Watch charger, a white Apple Watch, and a Rolex watch with a brown strap. Andre was captured on Sunday (5/4/2026) around 14:30 local time after Interpol tracked his whereabouts to a hotel in Penang, Malaysia. He was secured in the room with a woman who is a Kazakh national. Police had previously failed to apprehend Andre, who escaped during a chase in Kuala Lumpur. “A joint team from the Narcotics Criminal Directorate of Bareskrim Polri and Jatranin Divhubinter Polri has been cooperating with Interpol since 5 March 2026 to locate and arrest the wanted person named Andre Fernando alias The Doctor,” said Director of Narcotics Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, Brigjen Pol Eko Hadi Santoso, in his statement on Tuesday (7/4/2026). The Doctor’s trail was tracked after the raid. The arrest originated from an operation at the Whiterabit Gatot Subroto Club & Private Suites nightclub in March. During the raid, police arrested the director of Whiterabit, who was responsible for the activities, Alex Kurniawan, who has been designated as a suspect. From the examination, Alex mentioned that one of the narcotics distributors at the location was Ikha Novita Sari alias Mami Mika. “The individual (Ikha) obtained narcotics supplies from someone named Andre Fernando, who introduced himself with the alias Charlie,” said Eko. Further developments showed that Andre is the same person as the fugitive nicknamed “The Doctor”, who is on the Wanted Persons List (DPO) of the drug trafficking network of Erwin Iskandar alias Koko Erwin.
