Unveiling the Future and Challenges of the Digital Banking Ecosystem
Digital banking services are increasingly relied upon by the public for saving, investing, and transacting. Bank Indonesia recorded that in the first semester of 2026, the volume of digital payment transactions reached 16.07 billion, growing 36.88% year-on-year. This growth was driven by the wider adoption of digital payment services. Mobile banking transaction volume increased by 31.39% year-on-year, while transactions using the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) surged by 100.12% year-on-year. The rapid adoption of digital transactions in society has also prompted the banking industry to strive to deliver a seamless, personal user experience that is relevant to lifestyle needs. This development is making the industry adaptive, particularly in determining the direction of future growth. To discuss the future of digital banking further, CNBC Indonesia is presenting the Digital Banking Forum 2026 with the theme ‘Building the Future Digital Banking Ecosystem’ on Thursday, 13 August, at 12.30 WIB. This forum serves as a space for discussion, bringing together regulators, industry players, and brands to explore the future direction of digital banking in Indonesia. The Digital Banking Forum is a strategic platform to review super app differentiation, trends in digital service innovation, and the business strategies that will determine the future competitive landscape of the financial industry.
