UNTR commits to building character-driven human resources for societal impact
PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR), a subsidiary of PT Astra International Tbk (ASII), has committed to continuously contributing to the development of character-driven human resources, aiming to deliver tangible impact for Indonesian society. One of the company’s efforts is the UNTUK Indonesia 2026 programme, themed ‘Growing to Make an Impact and Create with Character’, which aligns with the fourth Asta Cita and Astra’s 3P Roadmap covering People, Portfolio and Public Contribution. ‘We can start from simple things, keep learning, share knowledge, become role models and use what we have to benefit others. This is the spirit we want to keep alive, both inside and outside the organisation,’ said UNTR Director of Human Capital, Communications & Sustainability Ari Sutrisno in an official statement in Jakarta on Wednesday. Ari explained that the programme was designed as a movement bringing together different generations and stakeholders, packaged through three main pillars: Learning Festival, Business Forum, and Competition & Campaign. In the Learning Festival series, participants had the opportunity to broaden their insights on future-ready skills, leadership and workplace readiness, featuring 29 speakers from various backgrounds across six sessions. ‘Enthusiasm was evident from 7,991 participant registrations from various backgrounds, ranging from high school and vocational school students, university students, fresh graduates, to the general public,’ Ari said. The Business Forum provided a space for industry leaders, professionals and stakeholders to discuss issues shaping the future of work and industry. Across six sessions, the forum featured 16 speakers comprising executives, leaders, talents and experts, and was attended by 1,134 participants discussing topics ranging from workforce transformation, leadership, artificial intelligence, digitalisation, green technology, to sustainability. ‘Leadership is demonstrated through daily example, how a leader handles pressure, listens to the team, accepts differing views, and provides space for others to grow,’ Ari said. Meanwhile, Competition & Campaign served as a space to translate values of ethics, courtesy and citizenship into concrete action. Ari explained that one such programme was realised through the #LifeWithManner campaign, which successfully collected 1,168 videos from the public and produced 12 finalists who advanced to the grand final. In the competition, participants competed in four categories: #MannerDiSekolah, #MannerDiKampus, #MannerDiMasyarakat, and #MannerDiLingkunganKerja, with a judging process involving 17 judges across three assessment rounds to evaluate participants’ work based on various relevant aspects.
