Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University (Untirta) has decided to terminate the studies (drop out) of Moch Zidan, a student in the D3 Banking and Finance programme at the Faculty of Economics and Business. Zidan was proven to have committed acts of violence in the form of sexual violence and physical violence.

“Imposing the heaviest administrative sanction in the form of termination of studies at Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University on Moch Zidan, who was proven to have committed sexual violence and physical violence in accordance with applicable provisions,” said Untirta Rector H. Fatah Sulaiman, quoted from the university’s Instagram account @Untirtaofficial on Tuesday, 14 April 2026.

The termination of studies is contained in Untirta Rector’s Decree Number 366/Un43/Kpt.Hk.02/2026 regarding the Determination of Heavy Administrative Sanctions Against the Perpetrator of Violence Named Moch Zidan. The decree was signed by Fatah on Monday, 13 April 2026.

Zidan stated that the drop-out decision is based on the provisions of Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Regulation Number 55 of 2024 on the Prevention and Handling of Violence in the Higher Education Environment.

The decision is also based on the General Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Regulation Number 17 of 2022 on Implementation Guidelines, as well as Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Regulation Number 30 of 2021 on the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence in the Higher Education Environment and Untirta’s Academic Guidelines.

Because he was proven to have committed sexual violence, Untirta imposed the heaviest administrative sanction on Zidan. With this sanction, Zidan no longer has any rights and obligations as an Untirta student.

Fatah assured that the victim is guaranteed continuity to continue carrying out her tri dharma as a lecturer. “And receiving protection for the confidentiality of her identity,” he said.

Previously, an Untirta student was suspected of committing harassment by recording a lecturer in the toilet of Building B at the Pakupatan Campus on Tuesday, 31 March 2026.
