Untad and Chinese University Launch Lecturer Exchange to Boost Language and Cultural Skills

Universitas Tadulako (Untad) in Central Sulawesi and China’s Shandong Vocational University of Foreign Affairs (SVUFA) have launched a lecturer exchange programme to improve academic quality and enrich language and cultural understanding between the two nations. Untad Rector Prof Amar stated that SVUFA has sent two lecturers, Zhao Min and Yang Aiyu, to Untad for an academic internship and to study Indonesian language and culture. During their time at Untad, the two lecturers are also contributing to Mandarin language learning activities for students across several study programmes. In return, Untad is sending two of its lecturers, Andi Harismahyanti from the Data Science Study Programme and Muh Fahruddin Nurdin from the Agribusiness Study Programme, to SVUFA from 25 August 2026 to 15 January 2027. The programme aims to develop their Mandarin language skills, deepen their understanding of Chinese culture, and support their preparation for doctoral studies. The rector noted that this exchange is a follow-up to a friendly relations agreement signed by the two universities on 17 April 2026, and is part of Untad’s efforts to strengthen internationalisation through enhanced global competence for its lecturers and academic staff.
