Unsoed Rectorate Officials, Including Rector, Arrested by KPK in Sting Operation

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has carried out its 19th sting operation of 2026, arresting members of the Rectorate of Jenderal Soedirman University (Unsoed). KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto stated that Unsoed Rector Prof. Akhmad Sodiq was among those arrested in the operation. ‘The Rector is also included,’ Setyo told Antara in Jakarta on Friday. Setyo also confirmed that Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Noor Farid and Vice Rector for Student Affairs Prof. Norman Arie Prayogo were caught in the sting operation. However, when asked whether Vice Rector for General Affairs and Finance Prof. Kuat Puji Prayitno or Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and Public Relations Prof. Waluyo Handoko were also arrested, he admitted he had not yet received the latest update from his team. ‘I have not yet received an update on the details of those brought to Jakarta,’ he said.
