Unsoed Rector Arrested by KPK

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) conducted its 19th sting operation (OTT) of 2026 by arresting members of the Rectorate of Jenderal Soedirman University (Unsoed). Rector Prof. Akhmad Sodiq and two vice-rectors were arrested by the KPK on Friday (21/8/2026).

KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto said Unsoed Rector Prof. Akhmad Sodiq was one of the parties arrested in the operation. “There is also the Rector,” said Setyo on Friday.

Setyo also confirmed that Unsoed Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Noor Farid and Vice-Rector for Student Affairs Prof. Norman Arie Prayogo were caught in the operation. However, when asked whether Vice-Rector for General Affairs and Finance Prof. Kuat Puji Prayitno or Vice-Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and Public Relations Prof. Waluyo Handoko were also caught, he admitted he had not yet received the latest update from his staff.

“Details of the parties brought to Jakarta, I have not updated yet,” he said.

The KPK has 1 x 24 hours to determine the status of the parties arrested in the operation in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP).
