Unsecured Delivery Truck Stolen in Jagakarsa
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - A delivery truck was stolen from the terrace of a warehouse in Lenteng Agung, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (25/2/2026).
The theft was captured by CCTV cameras installed on the terrace of the warehouse. At 04:45 WIB, two men were seen standing in front of the truck, talking.
Outside the fence, two motorcycles and their riders were also visible, presumably waiting.
After briefly talking to the motorcycle riders outside the fence, the truck was driven out of the warehouse area. All four perpetrators then left the location.
Jagakarsa Police Chief AKP Nurma Dewi confirmed the incident.
The police have received a report from the victim and conducted a crime scene investigation on the same day.
According to the victim, the truck was indeed left unlocked, as was the warehouse fence.
“The vehicle was last left unlocked, and the driver’s window was also open. It is suspected that the perpetrators entered the warehouse terrace through the gate because the gate was not locked,” Nurma explained in a statement on Thursday (26/2/2026).
Nurma explained that the perpetrators allegedly took advantage of the situation to carry out their actions.
“The perpetrators easily opened the car door and started the car, allegedly using a fake key,” said Nurma.
The police are currently investigating the incident to identify the perpetrators.
