Unsafe parking in Taman Ria
Unsafe parking in Taman Ria
From Bisnis Indonesia
On Saturday, April 27, 2002, two friends of mine and I had a meeting in Pulau Dua restaurant, Senayan. I entered the parking area at 1:03 p.m. and parked my car, B 1261 YS, in a space about 100 meters from the entrance gate.
After the meeting at about 3:53 p.m, I found the front left window of my car had been smashed and the car stereo was missing. When I asked for reimbursement for my damaged car, the management of Taman Ria and the Pulau Dua restaurant did not give a positive response.
The Secure Parking head there, Fidelis, said his company policy did not provide for such a reimbursement. A security officer of Pulau Dua restaurant, M. Yuswar, also said that there were only two people on duty in front of the entrance gate of the restaurant on that day.
I really deplore the attitude of the restaurant's security officer as well as the Taman Ria parking management. Due to their negligence, my car has been damaged and I cannot get any reimbursement. I suffered financial losses although I paid a parking fee of Rp 1000 per hour in an effort to ensure my car was safe, including prevention of any damage to my car.
