One morning some time ago I parked my car in the Bapindo Plaza building on Jl. Jend. Sudirman, South Jakarta. At about noon when I returned to my car, I was shock to find it had been broken in to. The rear window was broken, and my bag and car stereo had been stolen. Reporting the incident to the security personnel was very frustrating: "I don't know anything about that, we are not responsible for any loss of items in vehicles. You can report the case to the police."

The building's security post is at the parking lot entrance. How can the security department be free of security responsibility?
