DEPOK – A packed KRL Commuter Line carriage on the Nambo route was cited as the context for allegations against Unpam (Universitas Pamulang) lecturer Franka Hendra Suma, who is accused of sexually harassing a female passenger on Saturday, 14 March 2026 evening.

The cramped conditions caused passengers to accidentally bump into one another, creating a misunderstanding, according to his legal team.

“According to our client’s account, the KRL was completely full at the time,” said Franka’s legal counsel, Dadang, when contacted by Kompas.com on Tuesday, 17 March 2026.

As the train approached Universitas Indonesia station, Franka was suddenly accused of sexual harassment against a woman with the initials RA. He was forced off the train and interrogated by local security personnel.

“Franka explained that he did not commit sexual harassment as alleged. At that time, the complainant recorded the mediation or clarification session,” Dadang stated.

Following this recording, Franka was brought to the Metro Depok Police station and reported for allegations he disputes. The video recording was subsequently uploaded to Threads social media and went viral, labelled “DOSEN C4BUL TEKNIK INDUSTRI UNPAM DI KRL @commuterline” [sic].

“The complainant viralized the recording, thereby damaging Franka’s reputation and defaming him, as well as tarnishing his name as an Unpam lecturer,” Dadang explained.

In a video posting on Instagram @jabodetabek24info, the incident was described as occurring as the train travelled between Universitas Pancasila and Universitas Indonesia stations.

The post noted that the alleged perpetrator is a lecturer at one of the campuses in the South Tangerang area. The alleged harassment occurred as the train approached Universitas Indonesia station, with both Franka and the alleged victim in the same carriage. The victim reported feeling contact with her genital area and confirmed the contact had occurred again.
