Unpam Claims Its Lecturer Unproven in Harassing KRL Passenger
Universitas Pamulang (Unpam) has stated that one of its lecturers has not been proven to have harassed a female passenger on a KRL Commuter Line train bound for Nambo from Tebet Station on Saturday, 14 March 2026.
Unpam’s head of public relations, Muhyiddin Fanda, said the campus had conducted communications to investigate the information circulating on social media. “Based on initial clarification we received, no evidence supporting the allegations circulating on social media was found,” Fanda said when contacted on Monday, 16 March 2026.
He also stated that the person who filed the complaint in the case had withdrawn their report. “The latest update is that the complainant has withdrawn their report. Yes, he is an Unpam lecturer, but there is no proof that he committed the alleged act,” he said.
Meanwhile, the head of Unpam’s Industrial Engineering Study Programme, Tedi Dahniar, requested that the public wait for an official statement from Metro Depok Police regarding the alleged harassment of KRL passengers. “Wait for a statement from the police,” he said.
The incident was uploaded and went viral on Instagram account @jabodetabek24info. In the post, it was stated that the incident occurred when the train was near Universitas Pancasila Station heading towards Universitas Indonesia Station.
The narrative of the post also mentioned that the alleged perpetrator was a lecturer at one of the campuses in South Tangerang.
