Unpacking the Strategic Transformation of Regional Banks in Driving National Development

CNBC Indonesia hosted the Regional Bank Summit 2026 with the theme ‘Strategic Transformation of BPD in Driving National Development’ on Tuesday, 28 July 2026. The strategic discussion forum brought together regulators, BPD leaders, and stakeholders to discuss the institutional transformation of BPD and its tangible contribution to supporting national development priority programmes. The Regional Bank Summit 2026 was divided into three panel discussion sessions. The first session raised the theme ‘Optimising the KUB to Strengthen BPD Competitiveness’ with speakers including Bank Jakarta President Director Agus Haryoto Widodo, Bank BJB President Director Ayi Subarna, and Bank Jatim President Director Winardi Legowo. The second session discussed ‘BPD Digital Transformation: The Key to Regional Economic Growth’ with Bank Jateng President Director Bambang Widyatmoko, Bank BPD Bali President Director I Nyoman Sudharma, and Bank Maluku Malut President Director Syahrisal Imbar. The third session raised the theme ‘BPD Strategy in Encouraging Regional Economic Independence’ with Bank Sumut President Director Heru Mardiansyah, Bank Kalteng President Director Maslipansyah, and Bank Papua President Director Yuliana D. Yembise. The Regional Bank Summit 2026 also featured the Chief Executive of Banking Supervision at the Financial Services Authority (OJK), Dian Ediana Rae.
