Unocal finds oil in RI

JAKARTA (JP): American oil and gas firm Unocal Indonesia has found oil and gas at three wells in the Attaka production sharing contract (PSC) field off the coast of East Kalimantan, state oil and gas company Pertamina said in a statement on Tuesday.

It said the three wells were estimated to contain a combined reserve of 14 million barrels of oil and 85 billion cubic feet of gas.

Unocal will conduct drilling on another eight to ten exploration and delineation wells in the field, the state company said. (jsk)
