Unmanned Naval Drone Showcases Capabilities in 2026 TNI Integrated Exercise
The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) showcased various combat capabilities during the 2026 TNI Integrated Operation Exercise at Todak Beach, Dabo Singkep, Lingga Regency, Riau Islands, on Wednesday (5/8/2026). The exercise, titled ‘Perisai Trisila Nusantara’, involved joint operations from the army, navy, and air force, simulating modern warfare scenarios. Among the assets displayed were an unmanned naval drone or unmanned surface vessel (USV) owned by the Indonesian Navy, which was used to attack a target. The drill also featured the domestically produced AKM KI-50 kamikaze drone, the firing of two C-705 missiles from the KRI Sampari-628, and a landing operation by Marine Corps troops supported by howitzer artillery fire. The exercise aimed to enhance interoperability between the services while testing the readiness of personnel and defence equipment to face various threats to national sovereignty.
