UNM Secures National Grant from Kemdiktisaintek 2026, Introducing 'Satu Klik Gizi' to Prevent Toddler Wasting
Universitas Nusa Mandiri (UNM), known as a Digital Business Campus, has secured the 2026 Community Service Grant (PKM) funded by the Directorate of Research and Community Service (DPPM) under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek). This achievement serves as evidence of UNM’s commitment to delivering technological innovations that provide a direct impact on society.
The grant programme is led by Dr Sukmawati Anggraeni Putri, featuring an innovation titled ‘Satu Klik Gizi’. This digital-based technology is designed to assist PKK (Family Welfare Movement) cadres in monitoring the nutritional status of toddlers and supporting early intervention efforts to prevent wasting.
Through a platform designed to be simple and user-friendly, PKK cadres are expected to identify nutritional disorder risks more quickly, accurately, and in an integrated manner. This innovation is intended to increase the effectiveness of toddler health monitoring while supporting government programmes to reduce wasting rates in Indonesia.
The lead proposer, Sukmawati Anggraeni Putri, explained that utilising digital technology is one of the solutions to strengthen public health services at the grassroots level. “We want to provide a digital solution that is simple, easy to use, and provides real benefits to the community, particularly in helping PKK cadres detect the risk of wasting in toddlers at an early stage. With faster and more precise handling, it is hoped that the quality of health for Indonesian children can continue to improve,” she said.
This community service programme also involves UNM lecturers and students as an implementation of academic collaboration, integrating the ‘tridarma perguruan tinggi’ (three pillars of higher education) with real societal needs. The involvement of students is expected to strengthen project-based learning experiences while increasing awareness of public health issues.
The Head of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) at UNM, Andi Saryoko, appreciated the success of the lecturer team in securing competitive grant funding from DPPM Kemdiktisaintek. “This success shows that Universitas Nusa Mandiri lecturers continue to produce innovations that are not only academically excellent but also provide solutions to real problems in society. As a Digital Business Campus, we are committed to encouraging research and community service that utilises digital technology to improve the quality of life for the community and support sustainable national development,” he stated in a release received on Sunday (2/8/2026).
He added that LPPM UNM will continue to encourage collaboration between lecturers, students, the government, and the community to ensure that research and community service results do not remain merely scientific works but can be truly implemented and felt by the public. “Securing the 2026 Community Service Grant from DPPM Kemdiktisaintek further strengthens Universitas Nusa Mandiri’s position as a Digital Business Campus that consistently develops technology-based innovations to address various social challenges.”
Through solution-oriented research and community service, UNM continues to contribute to supporting digital transformation and improving the welfare of the Indonesian people.
