UNM Partners with FIFGROUP, Expanding Internship and Recruitment Opportunities for Students
Universitas Nusa Mandiri (UNM), positioning itself as a Digital Business Campus, is reinforcing its commitment to preparing competitive graduates through strategic collaboration with the business and industrial world. This was demonstrated through an exploratory partnership meeting between the Nusa Mandiri Career Center (NCC) and PT Federal International Finance (FIFGROUP) Depok branch, held at UNM Margonda Campus on Tuesday (23/6/2026). The meeting served as an initial step in building a partnership focused on strengthening the career ecosystem for students and alumni, while supporting the company’s need for competent, adaptive, and work-ready young talent. Attendees included Muhammad Faisal, Head of the Nusa Mandiri Career Center (NCC), and Andry Maulana, Head of UNM Margonda Campus. Representing FIFGROUP Depok branch were Ahmad Syafiudin, Operational General Service Section Head, and Ninik Daryanti, Personnel Coordinator. During the productive discussion, both parties explored various collaboration opportunities offering direct benefits to students, alumni, and the company. These include Campus Hiring, dissemination of job vacancy information, organisation of Job Fairs or Career Days, student internship programmes, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, and other forms of cooperation. Muhammad Faisal, Head of the Nusa Mandiri Career Center, stated that synergy between higher education and industry is a crucial element in creating graduates who meet labour market needs. He highly appreciated the opportunity for discussion and partnership exploration with FIFGROUP Depok branch, noting that the programmes offered are highly relevant to the needs of students and alumni, particularly in expanding access to recruitment and career development. ‘We hope this collaboration can be realised soon through Campus Hiring, Career Day, and the continuous dissemination of job vacancy information,’ he said. According to Faisal, current industry demands require not only academic ability but also experience, professional skills, and an understanding of real work culture. Therefore, the internship programme became a key point discussed during the partnership exploration. Beyond graduate recruitment, he hopes to develop a joint internship programme with FIFGROUP, describing it as a highly effective means for students to gain real work experience, understand industry culture, and enhance the competencies required in the workplace. Andry Maulana, Head of UNM Margonda Campus, assessed that cooperation with a national company like FIFGROUP is a strategic step in strengthening the link and match concept between education and industry. ‘We continuously encourage students not only to excel academically but also to gain relevant industry experience. Collaboration with FIFGROUP is expected to open more opportunities for students and alumni to develop their careers and enhance their competitiveness in the job market,’ he said. For FIFGROUP, this partnership also opens wider access to recruit quality young talent from higher education institutions. For UNM students and alumni, the partnership represents an opportunity to gain professional experience, expand their networks, and improve their readiness to enter the workforce. Through this initiative, UNM reaffirms its commitment to building strategic partnerships that have a tangible impact on the career development of its students and alumni.
