Universitas Nusa Mandiri (UNM) has officially opened admissions for its Master’s (S2) programme in Informatics. The move is intended to produce graduates whose skills match developments in the digital industry and technology, as well as the needs of the artificial intelligence era.

As a Digital Business Campus, UNM has designed an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum to prepare IT professionals, academics and researchers. The programme aims to develop technology innovators and future digital leaders.

The Informatics Master’s programme has a standard duration of three semesters, with a total study load of 36 credits (SKS). The university also offers a bridging programme for prospective students from non-IT backgrounds.

The curriculum offers four strategic specialisms: Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Software Engineering & Blockchain, Computer Vision, and Digital Business Information Systems. All are aligned with the needs of modern industry.

The total tuition fee for the programme is Rp40 million. Admissions are open for the March and September 2027 intakes, with scholarships of up to 25 per cent available.

Competition in the labour market amid digital disruption makes continuous skills development essential for IT professionals. UNM, known as a Digital Business Campus, says its Informatics Master’s programme uses a flexible and adaptive learning approach to support students who are already working.

The programme is taught by professional lecturers and researchers with expertise in informatics. Students can also choose a final project suited to their career path: an academic thesis, prototype development, a digital innovation project, or a paper published in a Scopus-indexed journal.

The four specialisms are designed to reflect global technology trends and the needs of modern industry, with a balance of theoretical and practical training.

The Artificial Intelligence & Data Science specialism focuses on Natural Language Processing (NLP), Advanced Deep Learning, and AI for Big Data Analysis. It is tailored to the growing need to process large-scale data.

Software Engineering & Blockchain covers Software Quality, Advanced Software Architecture, and the application of blockchain technology, preparing students for work in modern software engineering.

The Computer Vision specialism covers Advanced Image Processing, Biometrics Technology, and Deep Learning for Pattern Recognition, with a focus on advanced digital image processing.

Digital Business Information Systems is an executive class that develops expertise in Information System Audit & Analysis, Information System Security, and Business Intelligence System. The specialism supports the governance of business information systems.

The Informatics postgraduate programme applies an OBE-based curriculum. Its 36-credit study load is designed to be completed over a standard period of three semesters.

For prospective students without an undergraduate degree in IT, UNM provides a bridging programme to help them acquire the necessary foundations in computer science.

The total cost of the programme is Rp40 million, payable in instalments: Rp10 million in the first semester and Rp15 million in each of the second and third semesters.

Eligible prospective students may receive a scholarship discount of up to 25 per cent. The university says the scheme is intended to widen access to education.

Applications for the first intakes are open for March and September 2027. Prospective students can access the selection process online through the official admissions channel.

Universitas Nusa Mandiri’s Informatics Master’s programme is presented as an option for professionals seeking to advance their IT qualifications. With its OBE-based curriculum, four relevant specialisms and range of final-project options, UNM says it aims to develop innovators and digital leaders equipped to compete in the age of artificial intelligence.
