Vira Andini, a student from the Management Study Programme at Nusa Mandable University (UNM), has successfully completed an internship programme at the Financial Education and Training Agency (BPPK) of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia. During the programme, she was placed within the Public Finance Education and Training Centre, specifically in the State Wealth KP 1 Team.

This internship is part of the Nusa Mandiri Career Center (NCC) programme and serves as an implementation of the Internship Experience Program (IEP) 3+1. As a digital business-focused campus, UNM facilitates opportunities for students to connect academic theories learned in the classroom with direct practical experience within government institutions.

During her internship, Vira managed administration, processed training invoice data, and assisted in organising the Ministry of Finance Learning Center (KLC). Her most memorable experience was being entrusted to serve as the Master of Training (MOT) during a Distance Learning (PJJ) session for Functional Computer Officers.

“When I found out I had been accepted, my feelings were a mix of joy, pride, and a little disbelief. From my experience as an MOT, I have become more courageous in taking on responsibilities and less prone to panicking,” Vira stated in a press release on Monday (21/09/2026).

Meanwhile, the Head of the Nusa Mandiri Career Center (NCC), Muhammad Faisal, explained that the IEP 3+1 programme is designed to provide early career preparation for students. The programme allows students to complete three years of academic study followed by one year of industry internship.

“The IEP 3+1 programme is one of the facilities that helps students familiarise themselves with the professional world early on. The goal is not merely for students to secure internship placements, but for that experience to serve as essential preparation when they enter the workforce after graduation,” he said in the release.

Furthermore, appreciation was expressed by the Head of the UNM Management Study Programme, Instianti Elyana. She noted that the courage of students to enter the real working world is vital for developing adaptability and leadership.

“We appreciate Vira for her courage in taking the opportunity to learn directly within a professional environment. Students need to be brave enough to step out of their comfort zones and try various experiences that can enhance their competence,” she remarked.

This internship experience serves as proof that student learning can extend far beyond the classroom. Direct involvement in a ministerial institution is expected to shape UNM graduates who are competitive, disciplined, and ready to pursue professional careers.
