UNM Launches Integrated Innovation Lab to Prepare Students for Industry

Universitas Nusa Mandiri (UNM), as a Digital Business Campus, has reaffirmed its commitment to producing top-tier talent by inaugurating the industry-standard Integrated Innovation Lab. This facility represents a strategic step by the campus to strengthen the digital business ecosystem that is relevant to the needs of the business and industrial world (DUDI). The laboratory is not only used as a practicum space but also as a centre for research and technology development. UNM students can now explore various important aspects of the digital ecosystem comprehensively, from hardware infrastructure and system architecture to cybersecurity. The inauguration of this facility is a real response to the industry’s demands for talent with comprehensive understanding, not only on the software side but also on system performance optimisation and data protection. Through this laboratory, students are encouraged to develop technical skills as well as problem-solving based on real cases. Bryan Givan, Head of UNM Jatiwaringin Campus, emphasised that this facility is a long-term investment in enhancing the competitiveness of graduates. The digital business world does not rely solely on software but is also supported by reliable and secure hardware infrastructure. In this laboratory, he explained, UNM students can directly interact with industrial technology, conduct simulations, and optimise system performance. “We want them to have strong technological instincts and be ready to face real challenges in the industry,” he stated in a comment quoted on Thursday (14/5/2026). The Integrated Innovation Lab is equipped with various specialisation zones, such as Hardware Diagnostic & Optimisation, Network Security Command Centre, and Creative Business Incubator. The presence of this facility enables cross-programme collaboration in working on real projects that integrate technology and business aspects. Bryan added that this facility further solidifies UNM’s position as adaptive to technological developments. “We continue to provide practice-based learning experiences (experiential learning), so students become accustomed to industry work standards from an early stage. Thus, our graduates are not only job-ready but also ready to become innovators in the digital field,” he added.
