UNM Data Science Students Achieve Success at BRINATHON 2026

Students from the Data Science programme, Faculty of Information Technology at Nusa Mandiri University (UNM), a Digital Business Campus, have achieved national recognition at the BRINATHON IRIFAIR 2026 event. The team, consisting of Andita Alizhar and Rafif Sudanta, successfully secured 5th Place in the Technology and Engineering Cluster.

The winners were announced at the BRIN Thamrin Auditorium, Jakarta, on Thursday (24/9). The UNM team presented a project titled “Digital Reconstruction of 51 Years of TRIGA 2000 Bandung Reactor Operation History: Automating the Monte Carlo Pipeline for Nickel-63 Characterisation as a Limiting Nuclide for Decommissioning Clearance”. This work utilises computational modelling and data analysis to support the decommissioning of nuclear reactors.

The Head of the Data Science Programme at Nusa Mandiri University, Tati Mardiana, expressed high appreciation for this proud achievement.

“This achievement demonstrates that Data Science students are capable of applying data analysis, computation, and modelling competencies to develop innovative ideas for complex, cross-disciplinary problems,” she stated in a release received on Friday (25/9).

She added that this achievement proves the quality of research conducted by UNM students, which remains relevant to future technological needs.

“The UNM Data Science programme is committed to continuously supporting students in producing data-driven innovations that can provide real contributions to the worlds of science and society,” she concluded.
