UNM Data Science Programme Earns 'Excellent' Accreditation, Ready to Produce Future Digital Talent
The demand for talent capable of processing and interpreting data continues to rise amid rapid digital transformation.
In response to this need, the undergraduate Data Science programme at Universitas Nusa Mandiri (UNM) has successfully obtained ‘Unggul’ (Excellent) accreditation from the Independent Accreditation Institute for Informatics and Computer Science (LAM INFOKOM).
This achievement was established through LAM INFOKOM Decree Number 082/SK/LAM-INFOKOM/Ak/S/VII/2026. According to the accreditation certificate, the undergraduate Data Science programme at Universitas Nusa Mandiri has been declared to meet the requirements for the ‘Unggul’ accreditation rating, effective from 27 July 2026 to 27 July 2031.
The distinction serves as recognition of the quality of UNM’s Data Science programme while reinforcing the campus’s commitment to providing education relevant to developments in data, technology, artificial intelligence, and digital business.
Head of UNM Rawamangun Campus, Maruloh, said the ‘Unggul’ accreditation is positive news for both current and prospective students who wish to pursue careers in data science.
“The ‘Unggul’ accreditation is a proud achievement and demonstrates that UNM’s Data Science programme continues to strive to maintain the quality of its education,” he said in a statement on Wednesday (26/8/2026).
For prospective students, he explained, this is certainly a consideration when choosing a study programme relevant to the development of the digital industry.
According to him, industry demand for talent capable of understanding data continues to grow because data has become an important part of business decision-making.
“Data today is not merely a collection of numbers. Data can serve as a basis for identifying opportunities, understanding consumer behaviour, making predictions, and helping companies make decisions,” he said.
