Universitas Nusa Mandiri (UNM), as a Digital Business University, has entered into academic collaboration with Universitas Muhammadiyah Cileungsi (UMC) through a memorandum of understanding signed at UNM’s Margonda campus in Depok on Tuesday, 12 May 2026.

This collaboration is a strategic step to strengthen synergy between universities amid digital transformation demands and increasingly competitive human resource needs. The partnership focuses on education development, research, community service, and IT competency enhancement.

The MOU signing was attended by UNM Rector Prof Dr Ir Dwiza Riana, S.Si, MM, M.Kom, IPU, ASEAN Eng, and UNM Master of Informatics (S2) Study Program Secretary Dr Eni Heni Hermaliani, MM, M.Kom.

The collaboration has already been implemented through UMC staff pursuing studies in UNM’s Master of Informatics programme. This move demonstrates that the partnership extends beyond documentation to immediate human resource quality development.

UNM Rector Prof Dwiza Riana stated that universities must build collaborative networks to remain relevant in the evolving era. This partnership is part of UNM’s commitment to fostering productive and sustainable academic networks.

“We hope this synergy delivers tangible benefits for both institutions, particularly in improving education quality and IT competency development,” he said in a release cited on Thursday, 28 May 2026.

He added that higher education challenges in the digital era cannot be addressed individually. Collaboration between universities is crucial for fostering innovation, strengthening research, and developing digital talent ready for future industry needs.

Dr Eni Heni Hermaliani noted that UNM’s Master of Informatics programme continues to seek collaboration with educational institutions to enhance academic competence and technology development.

“The Master of Informatics programme at UNM strives to create a collaborative and adaptive academic ecosystem in response to digital technology advancements. We hope this partnership strengthens the development of digital talent and innovative research at the master’s level,” she explained.

Through this collaboration, UNM and UMC aim to foster innovative, productive, and sustainable academic partnerships to support the improvement of higher education quality in Indonesia.
