Unknown Identity: Young Man Found Dead After Being Struck by a Commuter Train in South Jakarta

Jagakarsa Police Sector Chief Kompol Nurma Dewi said there were several features described for the victim. She said the deceased is estimated to be around 25 years old.

‘Identity of Mr X, with a medium build, light skin, wearing a long-sleeved blue shirt, male, and about 25 years old,’ Nurma told reporters on Tuesday (19 May 2026).

The body was found at around 05:40 WIB and reported an hour later. At 07:00 WIB, police officers arrived at the scene.

‘According to witnesses, they received information from the driver of the Bogor Kota line, via the Lenteng Agung Station announcer, that there was a person hit by a train on the Km 24+300 track,’ she added.

The witnesses then conducted a search around the location and found the victim’s body. At that time, the victim was already dead.

‘With this incident, the on-duty officers, along with the patrol team, checked the scene and decided that the victim should be immediately taken to Fatmawati Hospital,’ she said.
