The University of Indonesia (UI) has apologised for a discrepancy in the display of selection results on the enrollment system for the Talent Scouting Programme of the Special International Class Undergraduate Degree (S1 KKI), which occurred on Tuesday, 17 March 2026.

Erwin Agustian Panigoro, Director of Community, Media, Government and International Relations at UI, revealed that the discrepancy occurred during a 40-minute window after the system displayed data that was not yet finalised.

“This situation could cause confusion and disappointment, particularly for applicants who received information that was not yet accurate,” said Erwin in a written statement received on Wednesday, 18 March 2026.

To address this, Erwin continued, applicants requiring further clarification can send messages via email to [email protected].

“Currently, the system has returned to normal and the Talent Scouting Programme S1 KKI selection results displayed on the enrollment.ui.ac.id page represent the final and official selection results, conducted through a fair and transparent process,” Erwin stated.

Erwin noted that the university understood the disappointment felt by applicants and ensured that candidates who did not pass through the Talent Scouting route could pursue other admissions pathways.

“Thus, the opportunity to continue education at UI remains wide open,” Erwin said.

Beyond the Talent Scouting route, UI also opened registrations through the national SNBT pathway (25 March–7 April 2026), independent pathways including PPKB (15 May–19 June 2026), Prestasi Selection Route (4–30 May 2026), and SIMAK Undergraduate and Vocational (8 May–5 June 2026).

Additionally, the Special International Class pathway includes SIMAK KKI Wave I (2 March–2 April 2026), SIMAK KKI Wave II (4–30 May 2026), and Global Talent KKI (3–16 July 2026).

Going forward, Erwin affirmed that UI is committed to continuously delivering increasingly better, reliable and responsive services through ongoing technical and communication evaluation and improvement.

“UI is also endeavouring to provide closer and more informative support, so that each prospective student can undergo the selection process with confidence and hope towards the best education,” Erwin said.
