University Boosts Absorption of Engineering Graduates in Japanese Construction Industry

Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang (UNSIKA) is expanding the penetration of its graduates into the global job market through the inauguration of the Daito Class Batch 2 programme on Thursday (16/7/2026). A total of 31 students from Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Civil Engineering study programmes have been selected to participate in this career preparation initiative, held at Hotel Grand Sahid Jaya, Jakarta. The programme is a strategic collaboration between UNSIKA, Japanese construction giant Daito Kentaku Co., Ltd., and PT Satria Jaya Internasional. Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Winarno, stated that the increase in participants from 25 in the first batch to 31 demonstrates growing trust from international partners in the quality of UNSIKA’s students. Over the next three semesters, participants will undergo a comprehensive curriculum covering Japanese language proficiency, local work culture, and technical skills in architecture and construction. Upon completion and passing a rigorous industry-standard selection process, graduates are projected to be directly absorbed by Daito Kentaku or its network of partner construction companies in Japan.
