Universal BPR Holds Universal Bonanza to Reward Customers
Jakarta (ANTARA) – Universal BPR held Universal Bonanza 2026 as an initiative to offer value beyond banking transaction services, strengthen long-term relationships with customers and encourage more planned financial habits.
Universal BPR President Commissioner Kaman Siboro stressed the importance of developing a saving habit and building greater financial resilience to meet future needs and adapt to change.
“By making a habit of saving, we can set aside emergency funds and prepare for future needs,” Kaman said in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Besides recognising customers, the event provided an opportunity for customers from a range of professional and business backgrounds to interact. Universal BPR hopes the gathering will help them expand their networks and create opportunities for collaboration.
“Customers also need to understand the terms of deposit insurance provided by the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS), as well as OJK’s role in supervising banking activities,” Kaman said.
Adi Dharma, head of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) office in Banten Province, praised Universal BPR’s initiative to provide additional benefits to customers.
“OJK supports Universal Bonanza because it is one of Universal BPR’s efforts to serve its customers. Through this programme, customers have the opportunity to gain added value from the banking services provided,” he said.
The event, themed “Winning Amid Change”, featured Professor Rhenald Kasali in an inspirational session on adaptation and preparing for the future. It also marked the first prize draw for the Universal Plus savings programme.
Rhenald discussed economic dynamics, technological developments and the effects of artificial intelligence (AI) on society and business.
He emphasised the importance of adapting, improving productivity and continually developing skills. At the same time, he said, financial preparedness should be built through prudent money management, including setting aside funds to deal with risks.
“Many people think money is only for investment, whereas we also need to prepare for various risks. A prudent person is not only good at increasing income, but also at preserving wealth so that their family can have peace of mind in the future,” Rhenald said.
Interactive discussions and a question-and-answer session helped participants relate the theme of change to everyday challenges, including personal development, business management and family financial planning.
Universal Bonanza 2026 also marked the first draw for Universal Plus, a savings programme offering prizes that is designed to reward customer loyalty and encourage consistent saving.
Prizes drawn included one Honda Brio, three Honda Vario motorbikes, five 50-inch LG Smart TVs, three iPhone 17s, and savings vouchers worth Rp2 million for 28 customers, Rp5 million for seven customers and Rp10 million for three customers.
