VIVAnews - PT United Tractors is targeting that the sales of heavy equipment Komatsu this year would reach 5,500 units, higher than last year's 3,400 units, with the projected income of Rp 20 trillion.

According to United Tractors Director Hendrik K Hadiwinata, the estimated increase in sales aims at the transportation units generally used by mining, plantation and forestry sectors.

United Tractors this year targets the sales in equipments for mining sector at 1,500 units compared to last year's 600 units.

Hendrik said the growth in heavy equipment sales is due to the improvement in coal production.

"The mining concession holders want to produce more [coal] that the sales in heavy equipment rise significantly," he said.

United Tractors stated that the company's income these days has been mostly contributed by PT Pamapersada Nusantara.

"United Tractors' income is 95 percent coming from the mining sector," he said.
