United States Claims to Have Destroyed Iranian Revolutionary Guard Headquarters

The United States military announced it has destroyed the headquarters of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The operation occurred on Sunday, 1 March, local time.

“America has the strongest military in the world, and the IRGC no longer has a headquarters,” stated the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) in a statement reported by AFP on Monday, 2 March 2026.

CENTCOM stated that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard has killed more than one thousand American citizens over a 47-year period. “The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has killed more than 1,000 American citizens over the last 47 years. Yesterday, a massive American strike decapitated the head of the serpent,” the command said.

As is known, the United States and Israel launched an attack named “Epic Fury” against Iran on Saturday, 28 February. The operation resulted in the deaths of several Iranian senior officials, including Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as well as hundreds of other Iranian citizens.

Iran subsequently launched retaliatory strikes on Saturday, 28 February and Sunday, 1 March. On Saturday, 28 February, Iran also launched an attack on Riyadh and the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.
