United States and Israel Plan to Attack Iran in Coming Days
EXPLOSIONS have been reported in several Iranian cities, including the capital Tehran, following attacks launched by Israel and the United States on Saturday, 28 February morning. The US military plans to conduct operations over several days, according to two sources.
US President Donald Trump described the military campaign as large-scale and sustained. He added that American lives may be lost as a result.
Trump supports regime change. He called on Iranian citizens to “take over your government.” He also accused Tehran of attempting to rebuild its nuclear programme following a major US strike last summer, which he previously claimed destroyed the facilities.
Tehran has long maintained that its nuclear programme is for civilian purposes only. Iran’s state media stated that the country is preparing a devastating response to the attacks.
Near-total internet blackout occurred in Iran, according to internet monitoring organisation Netblocks. “Confirmed: Network data shows #Iran is now experiencing a near-total internet outage with national connectivity at only 4% of normal levels,” Netblocks wrote in a Telegram post.
“This incident is occurring amid US and Israeli combat operations and aligns with measures used during last year’s war with Israel.”
Iranian citizens were unable to connect to the internet for much of January as the regime blocked online communications whilst suppressing anti-government protests.
Israel is preparing for attacks lasting several days against Iran. “Even more if necessary,” an Israeli source told CNN.
Trump is aware that his citizens may die in Operation Epic Fury against Iran. Tehran has responded with 75 ballistic missiles towards Israel.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump began planning potential strikes against Iran’s nuclear programme following their first meeting in February.
Trump stated that the US military has initiated large-scale combat operations in Iran to prevent threats to US national interests and those of its allies.
The Islamic Republic of Iran will deliver a stern response to the attacks allegedly carried out by the United States and Israel on Saturday, 28 February 2026.
Iran has officially closed its national airspace until further notice. Telephone networks in Tehran have been disconnected amid reports of Israeli pressure on Trump to act.
The conflict has prompted wider regional ramifications. The United States has ordered some diplomats and family members to leave Lebanon amid escalating tensions with Iran. Several airlines, including Wizz Air, Lufthansa, and KLM, have suspended flights in the region as a precautionary measure.
