United E-Motor and TMI Introduce Insurance for Ojol Drivers

United E-Motor has collaborated with PT Asuransi Tokio Marine Indonesia (TMI) to introduce protection solutions for online motorcycle taxi (ojol) drivers using United electric motorbikes. Through this partnership, the protection provided not only focuses on the vehicles but also on the drivers and the goods they carry. Thus, the benefits of this programme offer more comprehensive coverage, encompassing three main aspects of ojol drivers’ needs: protection for the drivers, the electric motorbikes used, and the carried goods during journeys. Director of PT Bintang Mas Lestari (United E-Motor), Winston Mulyadi, stated that integrated protection with vehicle usage can strengthen confidence in daily mobility while adding practical value to electric motorbike ownership. Vehicle protection is provided through a Total Loss Only (TLO) scheme for United electric motorbikes, in accordance with the applicable policy terms and conditions. For drivers, Personal Accident (PA) protection is offered to safeguard them while riding. The programme also includes coverage for personal items and carried goods during travel. President Director of TMI, Sancoyo Setiabudi, remarked that for ojol drivers, vehicles are not just transportation tools but essential supports for daily main activities. Therefore, comprehensive protection is greatly needed. Furthermore, United and TMI hope this collaboration can contribute to supporting a mobility ecosystem that is increasingly safe, comfortable, and relevant to societal needs.
