United Arab Emirates Condemns Iranian Missile Attacks on Its Territory and the Region
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has strongly condemned the Iranian missile attacks targeting its territory and several nations in the region, describing them as a flagrant violation of national sovereignty, international law, and the UN Charter.
Through a statement issued on Saturday, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed its solidarity and full support for the regional nations affected by the attacks, emphasising that their security is indivisible and that any violation of any nation’s sovereignty constitutes a direct threat to the security and stability of the entire region.
The UAE reaffirmed its rejection of the use of regional territories as an arena for resolving conflicts or expanding the scope of conflict, whilst warning of serious implications for global security, economic stability, and energy security.
The UAE once again called for restraint and efforts towards diplomatic solutions and serious dialogue, affirming that this approach remains the most effective way to address the current crisis and maintain regional security and stability.
The UAE also affirmed its full and legitimate right to respond to any attack in a manner that protects its sovereignty, national security, and territorial integrity whilst ensuring the safety of its citizens and residents, in accordance with international law.
Furthermore, the UAE stated it will not tolerate any compromise to its security or sovereignty under any circumstances.
According to the Foreign Ministry statement, the UAE also conveyed its deepest condolences and sympathy to the families of Pakistani nationals who were killed in the attacks and expressed its full solidarity with them.
The UAE stressed that the targeting of civilians and civilian objects is firmly condemned and strictly prohibited under international law and humanitarian principles.
