Unissula Students Develop Solar-Powered Electric Car to Support Sustainable Transport
Students from the Faculty of Industrial Technology at Sultan Agung Islamic University (Unissula) conducted a trial of a solar-powered electric car prototype on the Unissula campus in Semarang, Central Java, on Thursday (11/6/2026). The Faculty of Industrial Technology at Unissula developed the solar-powered electric car with a 48-volt battery capacity that utilises solar energy as a renewable energy source, enabling it to travel up to 20 kilometres per hour and operate for more than five hours in a single use. This serves as a manifestation of environmentally friendly technological innovation to support the utilisation of clean energy and the development of sustainable transport in the future.
